Position Overview

APA is seeking a passionate and reliable

Piano Instructor

to join our growing music department at our Oak Creek and Franklin studios. The ideal candidate will inspire students of all ages and skill levels, providing structured, engaging, and developmentally appropriate lessons. Teachers may choose from a range of available hours--from early afternoon through evening--to fit their schedule.

Responsibilities

Teach private and/or semi-private piano lessons to students ranging from beginner to advanced levels. Develop individualized lesson plans to meet each student's needs and goals. Prepare students for optional APA music recitals held in December and June. Communicate effectively with parents, students, and APA staff in a professional and positive manner. Maintain accurate attendance and student progress records. Arrive prepared and on time for all lessons. Follow all APA policies outlined in the employee handbook, including safety, dress code, and professionalism standards. Participate in one annual APA community event (paid).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in music, piano performance, music education, or equivalent experience preferred. Voice instruction experience a plus! Prior teaching experience with children and/or teens in a private or group setting. Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Ability to teach both beginner and intermediate repertoire with enthusiasm and patience. Schedule Options

Flexible hours available Monday-Saturday. Openings range from daytime (8am-3pm) to after-school/evening (3pm-9pm). Teachers may work at one or both APA locations based on availability.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $27.16 - $32.71 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 30 per week
