As a Phlebotomy Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. You will deliver engaging and comprehensive instruction in phlebotomy techniques, ensuring students gain the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their careers. What you'll do
Develop and implement an innovative curriculum that meets educational standards and industry needs.
Deliver high-quality instruction in phlebotomy, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Blackboard to enhance student engagement and track progress.
Supervise hands-on laboratory sessions, ensuring students practice safe and effective phlebotomy techniques.
Conduct assessments and provide constructive feedback to support student learning and development.
Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development and improvement initiatives.
Engage in clinical research projects related to phlebotomy practices and patient care.
Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
Basic qualifications
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and phlebotomy techniques.
Experience working with students in an educational or clinical setting.
Preferred qualifications
Previous teaching experience in higher education or adult education settings.
Supervising experience within a clinical or educational environment.
Familiarity with veterinary terminology and animal physiology is a plus.
Background in critical care or acute care settings is advantageous.
Experience with public health initiatives or clinical trials is preferred.
