Responsibilities
Instruct college-level courses in Pharmacy Technician program
Deliver instruction that meets specific program and curriculum objectives via lecture, demonstrations, audiovisual aids, discussions, or other supplemental presentations.
Develop and implement lesson plans for each class, ensuring that students learning styles and individual learning needs of students are accommodated
Ensure students are aware of the competencies necessary to meet objectives on the syllabus by explaining the course outline and expectations
Post and adhere to office hours for student consultation
Evaluate and assess mastery of skills through administering and grading examinations
Discuss students' progress with them individually; address potential problems that may inhibit academic achievement and take appropriate action such as referring students to Program Director, Campus Dean, or Campus Director to address identified problems
Utilize open communication and problem solving techniques to resolve conflict
Provide ongoing student advisement and academic counseling in conjunction with other departments
Maintain FERPA, OSHA, and HIPAA requirements in classrooms and labs
Participate in the development and evaluation of curriculum and instructional materials,
Maintain regular communication and coordination with Externship and Clinical Coordinators as required
Attend monthly faculty meetings, graduations, and campus meetings as needed
Cooperate with Registrar and Student Services in completing required forms/records and submitting them in a timely manner
Cooperate with administrative staff in the performance of their duties
Clearly understand and uphold company policy and procedures
Maintain relevant industry skills and knowledge in the medical field
Requirements
At least three years of experience in the field of Pharmacy Technician required
Diploma /Degree Required
Certification in Pharmacy Technician
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized, motivated and results-driven
Teaching experience or higher education teaching background preferred.
