Community Compounding Pharmacy (CCP) is a compounding pharmacy, which is a pharmacy that custom makes medication to fit patients' specific needs. We are a retail pharmacy that specializes in naturopathic and integrative compounded medications. CCP is one of the largest compounding pharmacies in the Northwest. We ship not only to patients in Oregon, but we regularly fill and ship compounded prescriptions to patients across the U.S. In addition to being a large retail pharmacy, CCP is developing and expanding to include other services, education, and conferences to assist other small pharmacies.

Position Overview
The Customer Care Pharmacy Technician enters and maintains prescription and refill data and patient profiles using our pharmacy software system. Customer service is a big part of this role; this position professionally answers incoming calls from multiple lines, responds to a variety of patient questions and effectively addresses and resolves customer service issues.
Primary Responsibilities
The essential functions of the Customer Care Pharmacy Technician include, but are not limited to:
Take calls from patients and medical providers or initiate such calls.
Answer patient questions and provide requested information.
Effectively address and resolve patient concerns or escalate if needed.
Enter and maintain patient profile and prescription information into a pharmacy software system.
Assist patients at the front counter as needed.
Participate and assist with customer care department projects as requested.

HIPAA Requirements:
The Customer Care Pharmacy Technician will be exposed to PHI in the course of their duties and must handle protected health information (PHI) in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and subsequent related laws and CCP policies. Applying the minimum necessary standard of HIPAA, the designated record sets to which this employee may have access include: all information in the patient profile and prescription information. All employees are required to read the content of these records only to the extent needed to accomplish the assigned task.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Active Oregon Pharmacy Technician or Certified Pharmacy Technician license.
Work experience in a pharmacy environment preferred.
Experience in a compounding pharmacy preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent customer service skill, with a strong customer service background.
Professional communication style and ability to work well with all types of individuals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with Google applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities, prioritizing time-sensitive tasks.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain discretion, as appropriate.
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
Physical and Mental Demands
This is primarily an office-based position, which requires sitting or standing continuously.
Light lifting (up to 25lbs) is infrequently required.
Dexterity and use of hands is required continuously for typing, use of a phone, and use of a mouse and computer keyboard.
Visual acuity to allow for reading a computer screen, printed information and reports, etc., is frequently necessary.
Talking and hearing is required frequently.
Concentrating and analyzing information is continuously required. Decision-making abilities are frequently exercised.
Immunization:
Staff members must meet immunization requirements as stated in CCP's immunization policy and state and federal guidelines.
