Job Description

This is a PRN position.

Job Summary:

Assists the pharmacists in the preparation, control and dispensing of medications by receiving, stocking, recording, compounding, filling, labeling and transporting medications. Assists in the retrieval, retention and processing of information, reports and clerical functions. May serve as a resource to and help with training for non-certified pharmacy technicians.

Responsibilities:

Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the pharmacist Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the pharmacy department Receive and store incoming supplies Prepare intravenous (IV) preparations Repackage bulk medications Serve as liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing information as necessary.

Job Qualifications:

Must have a high school diploma or GED. Valid Pharmacy Technician license/certification preferred but not necessary.

Compensation:

Schedule: PRN, Days, AS NEEDED
