Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting Co., LLC is seeking to hire two pet sitters and overnight pet sitter

About Being An Overnight Pet Sitter

This is a contractor position. Fire Hydrant does not have any full-time positions that exist. Must be okay with working weekends & holidays. An Overnight Pet Sitter stays in the pet families home overnight to provide a comfortable & stress-free environment to the pets within the home. Most of the pet families ask for the overnight pet sitters to stay from dinner time to breakfast. We offer this service to pet families to help make pets feel safe & to uphold their routine. You will be responsible for cleaning up after yourself, the pets, taking them outside on walks, cleaning the litter boxes, picking up poop in the yard, and for sharing updates with the pet owners.

You love dogs (of course!) and enjoy cats and want to build your knowledge on pet care / pets You are comfortable to walk and care for dogs of all different breeds, sizes, behaviors, etc (labradors, pit bulls, German shepherds, etc) IF NOT, then unfortunately this position is not for you*
You are a team player and look forward to being a part of an engaging team (we communicate A LOT) Are comfortable commuting to the dogs homes (we

do not

own a facility. All our services are within various dogs homes) Have reliable transportation Able to lift 40 pounds Available evenings and weekends Comfortable with sleeping in other people's homes

Here at Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting Co., LLC we specialize in various Pet Care needs such as Dog Walking, Pet Sitting, Cat Care and Pack Walks. We service various cities all over the Inland Empire, San Gabriel Valley, and North Orange County.

Responsibilities

Providing lots of TLC to the pets in our care Walking Cleaning litter boxes Taking in the mail, bringing in the newspaper Cleaning pet bowls Picking up after pets (Yes we are talking about their poop!) Sending pictures of the pets to their owners

Experience & Skills

Keen eye for detail Experience being a part of a team Must love getting licks from your four legged clients Being able to "speak dog" and have "cat conversations" is a plus Experience and/or comfortability with aggressive and strong breeds (St. Bernard, Cane Corso, Pit Bulls, Great Danes, German Shepherds) Reliable Great Communication Excellent Time-Management Skills Problem Solver Tech Savvy (this is a must! We use our phones quite a bit)
