Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and grooming, ensuring that pets leave our facility looking and feeling their best. The candidate must have at least 2 years recent full grooming experience. This role requires a combination of grooming expertise, customer service skills, and a love for animals. The Pet Groomer will work closely with pet owners to understand their grooming needs and provide high-quality services in a safe and friendly environment. Candidate must be able to complete a minimum of 5 grooms (large and small dogs) per day in a timely manner. Candidate must be able to work at least 4 days during our regular business hours Monday thru Friday (8-5).

Duties

Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets according to breed standards and client preferences. Handle various breeds of dogs and other animals with care, ensuring their comfort and safety during the grooming process. Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and any additional services offered. Monitor the health and well-being of pets during grooming sessions, reporting any concerns to the owner or veterinarian as necessary. Assist in animal restraint techniques to ensure safe handling during grooming procedures. Keep accurate records of services performed and any special instructions or notes regarding each pet's behavior or health.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a trained groomer for a minimum of 2 years. Strong skills in animal handling, and restraint techniques. Knowledge of animal care practices, including basic first aid for pets. Ability to lift heavy animals safely as needed during grooming sessions. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
