Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Care Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional care for pets. This role involves ensuring the well-being of pets while their owners are away, offering companionship, exercise and enrichment, and basic grooming as needed.

Duties

Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, walking and daily monitoring Ensure the safety and comfort of pets by maintaining a clean living space and providing adequate exercise. Engage with pets through playtime and companionship to promote their mental well-being. Monitor pet behavior and health. Perform basic grooming tasks such as brushing and bathing as needed. Handle animals with care, employing proper animal restraint techniques when necessary. Maintain accurate records of pet care routines and any incidents that may occur during visits. Communicate effectively with management regarding their pets' needs and any observations made during care.

Qualifications

Experience in pet sitting or animal care is preferred but not mandatory. Skills in dog training, animal handling, and group management are highly valued. Familiarity with pet grooming techniques is beneficial for providing comprehensive care. Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs or moving supplies). A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential for success in this role. Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
