As a Pet Care Professional, you will be the trusted caregiver for boarded and hospitalized pets while their owners are away. This role is perfect for animal lovers who thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy providing exceptional care. You'll engage with various pets, ensuring they receive the attention, exercise, and love they deserve. Join us in creating a safe and nurturing experience for our furry friends! This job does require working on weekends, as this is often the busiest time that clients chose to leave their beloved pets with us.

What you'll do

Provide attentive pet care, including feeding, watering, and playing with pets to ensure their well-being. Administer medications and follow specific care instructions as directed by pet owners. Maintain a clean and safe environment for all animals in your care. Monitor pet behavior and health, reporting any concerns to our vet and vet tech staff promptly. Bath them to keep pets looking their best. Engage with pet owners through excellent customer service, addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Handle heavy lifting as needed when caring for larger pets, transporting supplies, and cleaning drains.

Basic qualifications

Experience in animal handling and care, including knowledge of various breeds and their needs.

Preferred qualifications

Background in veterinary assistance or technician roles is highly desirable. Previous experience in kennels or pet sitting environments is beneficial. Strong skills in animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during handling. Ability to lift heavy objects related to pet care tasks comfortably.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
