We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for pets in a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and possess the necessary skills to handle various pet care tasks effectively

This is not a seasonal position, we are looking for a permanent employee Tuesday - Friday mornings and a couple afternoons. There will also be opportunities to pick up additional shifts.

Responsibilities

Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, cleaning kennels and exercising. Ensure all safety protocols are followed during animal handling and care. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management. Assist with tasks such as administering medications or treatments as directed. Interact with pet owners, making bookings, updating client/pet information all while providing excellent customer service and answering any questions or concerns. Heavy emphasis on cleaning: Maintain cleanliness throughout the facility, including daily cleaning and sanitizing of kennels, play areas and equipment. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in animal care and handling.

Skills

Previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred but not required, we will train. Basic computer skills. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners?and team members. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, working quick and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare. Knowledge of veterinary practices is a plus, but not necessary.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
