Georgia-Pacific Dixie\xc2\xae Consumer Products Operation is seeking qualified professionals to consider for a Performance Leader role supporting the Consumer Products Group Operations located in Jackson, TN. The Dixie-Jackson facility uses state of the art technology to manufacture Dixie\xc2\xae plates and bowls in a progressive production environment. Dixie\xc2\xae is a brand of choice and is widely used in homes and businesses across the country. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Georgia-Pacific\'s newest Dixie facility.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the workforce in ways that are consistent with our culture of Principle Based Management\xe2\x84\xa2;
  • Effectively lead, mentor, supervise, coach and develop salaried exempt and non-salaried exempt employees to improve capability and performance
  • Lead the department to achieve a safety and environmental incident free workplace identifying critical hazards and mitigating the risk based on criticality
  • Lead the team to ensure production targets are achieved
  • Understanding and owning the financial performance of the department and institute continuous improvement efforts to improve cost competitiveness
  • Leveraging capability support group leaders (i.e., EHS, Remote Teams, Quality, Maintenance, Purchasing, Finance, HR, etc.) through preferred partnerships
  • Empowering culture change through discipline operations and capability improvement to drive performance in measurements tied to Key Performance Indicators (KPI\'s)
  • Providing strategic leadership to achieve key operation objectives in safety, environmental compliance, reliability, production, and cost
  • Accountability for employee and organizational development plans and people management strategies
  • Providing leadership and holding the team accountable for the implementation of complete asset strategies and an ownership-based work system that develops technicians to successfully operate, maintain, and improve the equipment and processes
  • Leading and fostering a strong safety and environmental compliance culture that values risk identification and personal ownership, through a principle-based approach
  • Responsibility for the Converting operation for safety, quality and reliability of the area assets and using reliability concepts (i.e. root cause failure analysis, operator basic care, PMs, etc.)
  • Driving mill initiatives and sense of urgency to achieve plant value driver metrics and AMT targets
  • Collaborating and knowledge sharing with other departments across mill and other levels within the organization to ensure the success of operational goals
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience working within a manufacturing, industrial or military environment with direct reports responsibility
  • Experience managing department-level budgets and data to foster continuous improvement
  • Experience with Asset strategy and reliability concepts
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor\'s degree or higher in Engineering or Paper Science
  • Experience working within converting, manufacturing and/or printing, operation
  • Experience in manufacturing start-ups
  • Experience working within a pulp, paper, and/or tissue converting manufacturing environment
