About Virtual Counselor:
Since 2013, we have provided over 100,000+ Telehealth sessions and continue to expand nationwide in 40+ states. Our licensed online mental health therapists support students, parents, schools, and private pay clients via live video conferencing. Our highly trained social workers, school counselors, and therapists deliver pivotal therapy sessions to K-12 and college students through our school partnerships. We also support EAP programs, businesses, families, and individuals.
K-12 School-Based Telehealth:
The K-12 School Counseling Team is dedicated to partnering with School Administration to provide comprehensive telehealth services in unison with student educational goals. Virtual counseling is offered in the form of weekly individual, group, and parent training as a Special Education Related Service. In addition to direct service time, clinicians will be responsible for completing progress notes, goal plans, monthly paperwork, quarterly progress reports, and other applicable paperwork. This is considered a collaborative role in which clinicians are an extension of the school's IEP team.
Specific Qualifications for K-12 Applicants:
Credentials:
PA License (LPC, LCSW, LSW, LAPC, LMFT, or equivalent) or valid Pennsylvania Elementary and Secondary School Counselor Certificate
Caseload Minimum:
15 hours per week (25-30 students) with the opportunity for increased hours
Hours:
Provided on traditional school days and hours. Daytime availability is required.
School Experience:
Familiarity with School-Based Services, Special Education, and IEP/504 plans.
Clearances:
Updated within one year. (FBI, Child Abuse, State Police, etc)
Referrals:
Provided directly by Virtual Counselor and our partnering schools at a steady pace.
