Job Description





JOB SUMMARY:


This position is responsible for routine laboratory functions and applicable procedures in support of the PD laboratory and stability testing goals to ensure schedules are met.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITIES:



Follow all policies, procedures, cGMP, Work Instructions, and supervisor instructions.


Assists in laboratory projects or testing of raw materials or products assigned by PD Management per applicable procedures. Responsible for documentation of all analyses and applicable tasks per applicable test methods, SOP\xe2\x80\x99s, and other related procedures.


Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace and laboratory; wash labware, pipettes by loading/unloading dishwasher/pipette washer.


Notify appropriate personnel when reagents, standards, and other materials need to be ordered to ensure all resources are available for testing.


Maintain lab reagents by routine inventory to remove expired materials. Update the Support Specialist to maintain laboratory reagent database.


Responsible for the Department\xe2\x80\x99s purchase orders for office/laboratory supplies


Assist department with controlled substance inventory, the destruction of controlled substance material and samples per applicable procedures and regulations


Maintaining current and accurate inventory of office/laboratory supplies


Accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of work, attention to detail, and adherence to test method monograph/specifications. Follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures, including safety procedures & policies.


Work safely and effectively within a team environment.


Perform any other related duties and required or assigned.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:



High school diploma/GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job training in a specific skill area such as clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc., plus 2 years of related experience and/or training. Experience and/or training with life sciences/pharma is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Suite preferred.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILS & ABILITIES:



Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite preferred. This position requires the individual be organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.

Computer keyboarding, computer monitor and mouse use including reaching forward, grasping, finger and wrist manipulations, and neck bending and turning: near vision is necessary for computer monitor use.
