Job Description

Why does the job exist?

Incumbent will be responsible for all activities associated in providing switchboard services 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

How does it get done?

Incumbent will be responsible for answering all in-coming calls and refer calls to appropriate personnel and/or units. Obtain visitor information as per protocol and refer to appropriate units. Inform Safety/Security of all fire alarms activated throughout campus by monitoring the fire alarm computer.

Minimum Qualification

Eighth grade education.

Employment Requirements

New Mexico Driver's License is required this position and Defensive Driving is required in order for employee to use state vehicle for events such as trainings/workshops.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending, and reaching may be required. Direct client interaction and some travel may be required.
