Full Time Rotate

Position Summary

The PBX Operator is responsible for supporting the hospital by operating the PBX switchboard. PBX Operators efficiently answer, screen and transfer all incoming and outgoing calls to appropriate locations. Operators also monitor emergency alarms, provide assistance during code situations and activate the emergency notification system Everbridge when directed.

EDUCATION

Minimum: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred: Post High School vocational/specialized training.

EXPERIENCE

Six (6) months to (3) three years experience as a PBX Operator preferred.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION

None

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Clear, concise speaking ability; able to handle stressful situations; knowledge of computer use.
