A large but growing company with headquarters in Pittsburgh is searching for a Payroll Accountant to join their expanding team.

Candidates with strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast paced environment would be ideal.

The top skills/duties for this role include:

Prepare and process payroll for weekly and biweekly employees. Determine and correct out-of-balance conditions to ensure accurate payroll entries. Process Multi-State, Union, Hourly and Salary payroll utilizing ADP software. Communication with company offices and divisions to ensure accurate accounting and reporting of payroll. Input time, material and expenses into appropriate software system. Process bank transactions, Paycard funding and direct deposit reversals. Proactively research and resolve issues that arrive by reviewing time-cards, communicating with employees and following up with specific offices. Analyze and reconcile payroll reports and work with accounting department to resolve out-of-balance reconciliations.
The Payroll team works in a team environment and help each other as needed.

This position will be a hybrid (office/home) role, if desired, once the process is understood.

Requirements

1 - 10 years experience processing payroll for hourly employees. Experience with processing multi-state payroll. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment. Demonstrated problem solving ability. Strong Excel skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills dealing with internal and external customers. ADP or Kronos experience highly desirable.
