Albert's Pawn is currently hiring staff members for our family-owned Pawn stores. With 4 store locations in Johnson City, Kingsport, and Bristol, Albert's Pawn is a 4th generation family-owned and operated Business and is the oldest of its kind in the Tricities. Helping our community is at the core of what we do and we are looking for team members to reflect that as well.

Starting Pay:

$13-$16 per hour plus unlimited commissions right away. Following a probationary period, team members are eligible for pay raises. This position will start at $13 per hour. Opportunities for pay increases are available as Team members reach performance milestones. The timeline for pay increases is based on individual progress as new skills are mastered. As Team members continue to advance, pay will increase accordingly.

Position Hours:

9am-5pm M-F and rotating Saturdays from 10am-2pm

What we're looking for:

We are looking for team members who are eager to learn and help our community. While Pawn or retail experience is a plus, no prior pawn experience is required as we will equip you with all the skills you need to be a successful Pawnbroker. Most of our staff have been with our company for 20+ years, so we are looking for long term candidates who will grow with us. Working in the Pawn industry is exciting, challenging, and ever-changing. Duties:

Cash transactions accurately and efficiently Sell and negotiate prices for pawned items Collaborate with team members and customers Research, inspect, and value items Maintain a clean and organized store environment Greet customers and create a positive shopping experience

Qualifications:

Pawn, customer service, or sales or retail experience is beneficial but not required Knowledge of technology products and sales is an advantage Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills Flexibility to float between all store locations if needed (JC, Kingsport, Bristol) Must be able to pass a detailed background check and drug screen Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) are a plus but not required
