Job duties:

  • Manage front desk duties - check -in/out, phone lines, scheduling/rescheduling, etc.
  • Exhibits and promotes a customer service standard of excellence in performance of all duties with patients, co-workers, and outside contracts.
  • Consistently process and directs referrals according to partner/payer requirements.
  • Manage insurance verification and appointment confirmation process.
  • Collaborates with Clinician and Medical Assistant to ensure that medical notes are included with patient forms.
  • Makes referral arrangements for all patients per clinicians\' request when possible and in compliance with service network and managed care payor agreements.
  • Keeps updated information regarding network and benefit restrictions for all payer groups.
  • Counsels patients and gives explanations for preparations of specialty appointments.
  • Regularly document patient declination of specialty care service in patient chart.
  • Separates and disseminates referral documents to proper departments according to established procedure.
  • The Medical Receptionist must have knowledge of front desk/administrative duties, managing phones, etc.
  • Required Experience: One-year prior experience working as a Medical Receptionist/Front desk in a medical setting is preferred.
  • Required Education: High school graduate or equivalent school and/or experience
LOCATION, HOURS, SALARY & BENEFITS
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
  • Pay Cycle - Weekly Medical, Dental & Vision Benefits offered
