Home to the Ailes and Nimrod Ranges, the Center supports collegiate athletes, law enforcement training, donor events, and public programs.
Job Summary
This is a part-time position that will help support day-to-day operations of the Nimrod Complex range. The individual will be required to ensure a professional, efficient, and safe shooting environment while maintaining a high standard of conduct, safety, and professionalism across all facilities.
Essential Job Functions
Monitor live-fire activity to ensure compliance with safety protocols and range SOPs
Assist with safety briefings, emergency procedures, and risk mitigation practices
Provide support during student use, public events, and donor activities
Conduct range inspections and report equipment or facility issues
Maintain a professional presence during competitions, training sessions, and leagues
Help train and supervise volunteers and part-time range safety staff
Foster a respectful, disciplined, and mission-aligned culture on the range
Support daily range setup, operations, and cleanup for large-bore and action shooting disciplines
Coordinate with the Nimrod Complex Operations Associate
Instruct users of the range as needed
Assist with maintenance of the range, targets, and equipment
Maintain high standards of safety on the range
Assist the Nimrod Complex Operations Associate with managing camps, matches, and other events at the facility
Assist with other responsibilities at the following including, but not limited to:
+ AcuSport Lodge
+ Archery Range
+ Ailes Range
+ Shotgun Fields
Required Qualifications
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below represent the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability.
Education & Experience
A high school diploma is required for this position.
Some experience in shooting sports, firearms usage, and firearms safety protocols is necessary.
Experience in firearms instruction is preferred.
NRA or USCCA certifications are preferred.
