About the role

The Developmental Therapy Center (DTC), a nonprofit organization serving children and families across West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky, is seeking a creative and motivated Marketing & Social Media Specialist to support fundraising events and community outreach efforts.

Responsibilities:

Design engaging graphics in Canva Pro for fundraising events, campaigns, and community programs.

Create, schedule, and manage diverse social media content (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others), including stories, static posts, videos, reels, and live streams that align with DTC's mission.

Create and manage social media content aligned with DTC's mission and brand voice. Write compelling posts, captions, and marketing copy to drive engagement and awareness. Collaborate with leadership to plan and execute social media strategies and campaigns. Assist with promoting events through digital and print marketing.
Qualifications:

Proficiency with Canva Pro (required) Proven experience managing social media accounts for organizations or businesses Excellent writing and communication skills with an eye for engaging content Background in marketing, communications, or nonprofit outreach preferred. Located in West Virginia, Ohio, or Kentucky preferred
Schedule:

Flexible, part-time, or PRN hours Occasional evenings or weekends for events and time-sensitive campaigns
Work location:

Remote, with occasional required travel to Huntington, WV, for meetings and events.
