SUMMARY: Performs screening and related duties, including data management, in assigned hospitals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Stay up-to-date and follow all Quality System procedures related to this job, which can affect the quality of products or services provided to our customers. 2. Responsible for screening all eligible newborns during assigned shift. 3. Maintains accuracy and expertise in screening techniques. 4. Complies with Neonatal Specialists of Georgia and hospital training programs. 5. Abides by all Neonatal Specialists of Georgia and hospital policies and procedures: HIPAA guidelines Infection control Baby safety guidelines 6. Provides screening results as required to hospital personnel, physicians, and parents. 7. Monitors program equipment supply needs. 8. Acts as the liaison for Neonatal Specialists of Georgia to hospital personnel. 9. Must maintain badge eligibility at all assigned hospitals, including up-to-date immunizations. Travel Required: Minimal travel required. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent or one-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Pediatric CPR Certified Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers of common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Other Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of some medical terminology and procedure is desirable.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise sound judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills \xe2\x80\x93 able to communicate effectively with all levels within and outside of the organization.
  • Self-directed, ability to maintain productivity with minimal supervision.
