Part Time (up to 29 hours/week)


Starting Pay: $17.50/hr DOE

Essential Functions:



Obtains proposals and quotes from vendors and negotiates for best value and works with Procurement and Accounts Payable to issue purchase orders and payments. Identifies cost effective solutions in all activities, while maintaining quality and timeliness. Participates and supports planning, construction, start up, remodel, relocation, move, and closure of facilities. Coordinates with EHS Manager for compliance with OSHA and ADA. Coordinates space planning, supply needs, and other activities with Facilities Manager, Engineers, and/or Landlords as needed. Assists in rework projects as needed, with potential Supervisory role. With direction of a manager to coordinate and direct the activities in a unit/area of facilities maintenance services to ensure facilities are properly cleaned and maintained, maximizing a healthy, safe, pleasant, and functional environment. Maintains building lighting by replacing incandescent bulbs and fluorescent tubes, deflector covers, and cleaning fixtures. Removes snow and ice from all exits, entrances, fire escape exits, and handicap ramps. Initiates and tags work orders for repair and maintenance Performs all duties and tasks assigned by a supervisor or Manager such as attending trainings and participating in development teams. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Assists in the training of part-time employees. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Performs direct labor and maintenance duties as a working member of the team. Enforces proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and tools. Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Promotes personal safety of crew members by monitoring, evaluating, and enforcing safe behaviors. Trains and informs crew members of proper safety guidelines, policies, procedures, and behaviors. Coordinates all events and major or minor projects, including deep cleaning, without interfering with residents or occupants of office space. Travel to trade shows and help set up griddles and other Blackstone products. Travel and help other members of the team when needed. Works with internal and external customers to ensure that their needs are being met and works to continuously improve the system. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Good driving record Knowledge of how to use/handle trailers (hitching, transporting, etc.) Basic knowledge of plumbing and Electrical and HVAC systems. Basic Carpenter skills. Able to work with all hand and tabletop tools. General knowledge of small motors and ability to service items. Painting skills. Able to set up and monitor construction projects.
