Job Summary


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will support attorneys across various practice areas, including criminal law, family law, and others. This role requires excellent document management abilities, organizational skills, and proficiency with legal software systems. The Paralegal will provide essential administrative and legal support to ensure efficient case handling and compliance with legal standards.

Duties



Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and other legal research tools to support case development. Assist with document review, drafting legal documents, contracts, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail. Manage case files using document management systems such as Clio; ensure all records are organized and up-to-date. Support attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, and client meetings through effective project management and scheduling. Perform data entry, filing, and administrative tasks including transcription, proofreading, and maintaining accurate records. Interview clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for cases involving criminal law, family law, or other practice areas. Coordinate with clients and external agencies while maintaining professional phone etiquette and organizational skills. Assist in the preparation of legal documents related to criminal law, family law, and others. Support litigation activities through document review and case management tasks; communicate and coordinate with courts or agencies when necessary. Provide executive administrative support to attorneys by managing calendars, deadlines, and correspondence.

Requirements



Paralegal experience in a law office setting with exposure to criminal law, family law, and others preferred. Proficiency with legal research tools including LexisNexis; experience with document management systems like Clio is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy. Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading and transcription abilities are essential. Knowledge of legal administrative processes including filing procedures and data entry; clerical experience is advantageous. Familiarity with general court procedure is desirable. Ability to perform detailed legal research as needed. Effective interviewing skills for client intake; professional phone etiquette required. Strong organizational skills coupled with the ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment. Pay: From $37,440.00 per year
