Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and organized

Real Estate Paralegal

to join our newly opened Sussex County office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and/or commercial real estate transactions, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage files from contract to closing.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and organize real estate documents including contracts, deeds, closing statements, and title commitments. Coordinate with attorneys, clients, lenders, title companies, and realtors throughout the transaction process. Prepare closing packages and ensure all necessary documents are executed and properly recorded. Monitor transaction deadlines, manage escrow funds, and maintain accurate file documentation. Conduct due diligence, including title and lien searches. Assist with entity formation and business documentation related to real estate transactions.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as a real estate paralegal or legal assistant in New Jersey. Strong understanding of the real estate closing process and related documentation. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and common legal software. Professional communication skills and client-service mindset.

Preferred

Experience with both residential and commercial closings. Familiarity with New York real estate transactions a plus.
