Painter Tends high volume low-pressure (HVLP) and pump-style spray guns that coat large towing equipment with topcoat and paint. Primarily prepares, paints, and finishes surfaces of wrecker components and other manufactured products. Key Responsibilities: + Sands and prepares surface for painting. + Builds topcoat thickness of high gloss finish.
+ Use of power spray equipment, including spray guns, to apply primer, paint, and clear coats, ensuring an even and consistent application.
+ Inspect products before, during, and after the paint process to ensure all specifications are met.
+ Clean and maintain all painting equipment.
+ Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
+ Follows company procedures and displays a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks.
+ Demonstrates ability to follow instructions from supervisor and team leader.
+ Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. + High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent experience. + Proven experience as painter preferably in a manufactory setting. + Proficient in setting up, using and maintaining gravity fed HVLP guns and pump style spray systems. + Keen technique for detail and color-matching to achieve a flawless high-quality finish. + Comprehension of technical documentation and instructions to ensure correct mixing ratios and application methods. + Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
+ Required to wear a full face respirator with filtration during paint operations.
+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
