Job Summary

We are seeking a experienced Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential painting and construction site work, with a strong understanding of various painting techniques and materials. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on projects.

Duties

Ceilings and walls in hotel guest rooms and bathrooms.

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping old popcorn paint, sanding, and caulking as necessary. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Work with drywall and plaster to ensure smooth surfaces before painting. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Collaborate with trim carpentry teams to ensure seamless integration of painted surfaces with other elements. Follow safety protocols on the construction site to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills

Proficient in residential painting techniques and materials. Experience with hand tools and power tools commonly used in painting and construction. Knowledge of caulking methods for sealing gaps and joints effectively. Ability to build relationships with team members and communicate effectively on-site. Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes. Familiarity with drywall installation and repair processes is a plus.
