McCain Food\'s facility in Wisconsin Rapids/Plover, Wisconsin is a large-scale food processing plant, employing approximately 500 employees. This site specializes in the production of french fries and mashed potatoes and produces roughly 3 million pounds of french fries a day!

Position Summary:

As the Forklift Operator you will operate a forklift to assist in transporting bulk products in our packaging department. After training and forklift certification, you will work hand in hand with our production team and third party storage vendor to make sure the product is being move efficiently while adhering to the company safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Transport bulk product totes to and from the tote off area, addback lines, and quality control.

2) Weighs bulk totes of product and waste

3) Distributes and organizes recalled pallets by item code or cuts

4) Assists in the normal dumping of totes

5) Maintains, charges, and records installation batteries. Completes forklift checklist

6) Takes inventory of tote areas

7: Performs other duties as assigned by Supervision

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and understand and communicate safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to solve practical problems.
• Ability to comprehend and communicate in Basic English and interact with all levels of the organization. Must be able to enter data into a computer.
• Must be forklift certified through company training.

Physical Demand:

Constant: Walking, bending at the waist, squatting, kneeling, and twisting at the neck and waist. Walking up and down a flight of stairs.
