Job Description

We're hiring immediately for non-CDL Package Delivery Drivers to earn a minimum of $180/day on our team in Salina, Kansas. Skedaddle Inc. is a FedEx package delivery contractor, and this position is responsible for delivering FedEx packages from our warehouse near the Salina Airport. A typical route will deliver to 60 - 100 addresses per day while driving up to 250 miles/day. Earn a minimum of $180/day or $18/hour, whichever is higher, on routes that are planned be completed within 8 - 9 hours (equivalent to a $20.00 - $22.50/hour with the $180/day minimum). This position starts work at 8:30 AM each day and is scheduled to work 3-4 days a week, 8-10 hours per day, including on Saturdays.


In this role, you'll deliver packages weighing up to 150 pounds using a company cargo van or step van. This role is a physically active, outdoors position which requires being able to walk about 5 miles per day to/from the front door of addresses while continuously bending, climbing, standing, and pushing/pulling carts.

WHERE IS THIS POSITION LOCATED?

This position is based at our delivery terminal in Salina at 3660 Scanlan Ave, Salina, KS 67401.

WHEN DOES THIS POSITION WORK?

Hourly employees work 4 days a week, 8-10 hours per day, starting at 8:30 AM daily. We have immediate openings for drivers available to work on Saturdays as part of their schedule.

WHAT ARE THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR A PACKAGE DELIVERY DRIVER?

Operate a Cargo Van or Cutaway Box Van. This role will require completing a DOT physical and obtaining a DOT medical card (paid for by the company). Work for up to 10 hours per day to complete a full delivery route where you may deliver packages to 40 - 100 addresses per day. Walk, lift, climb, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, twist, and/or stretch during shifts up to 10 hours long. Lift, push, pull, and sort boxes and packages weighing up to 150 pounds each on a frequent basis. Communicate effectively and professionally with members of the public, coworkers, managers, and delivery terminal employees. Speak, read, and write in English to communicate with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records. Operate a global positioning system (GPS) navigation system for guidance to each delivery address on your route. Use electronic devices for route navigation and planning, along with for scanning packages for delivery or pickup. Must be 21 years of age or older. All employees must hold a valid driver's license. 1+ years of work-related driving experience preferred. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must pass a 5-Panel Drug Screening (which does include pre-employment + random testing for marijuana, THC, and cannabis) Must have a clean motor vehicle report. Must be able to pass a DOT physical and obtain a DOT medical examiner's certificate. * Must have proficient English speaking, reading, writing, and communication skills.
