Researches, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing to support an organization\'s application systems. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Writes documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Works on complex projects and problems. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. Key Tasks and Responsibilities
As part of a team, develop and maintain database packages, scripts, and interfaces for the DSEMS/DADS databases supporting the web applications using SQL and the Oracle, PL/SQL Developer, and Toad for Oracle tools.
Establish and maintain database development and operating procedures, design descriptions, and application documentation.
Perform database administration support for Oracle databases maintained by DISA Special Services, Software Release Management Section.
Design and maintain the logical and physical databases and associated schemas.
Ensure the security posture of the Oracle databases.
Establish and maintain documentation for database software maintenance procedures.
Coordinate all testing of and implementation of software and document all related procedures.
Provide, document, and administer operating system security and operating system support to include the storage subsystems of Solaris/Linux servers maintained by the section.
Ensure the security posture of supported Solaris systems, maintain availability, and initiate recovery from failure or incidents.
Job Requirements: Education & Experience Bachelors 8+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience providing Oracle DB administration in a Solaris/Linux environment Certifications Appropriate DoD 8570 IAT/IAM Level certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, or higher), as well as technology-specific certifications such as MCSA Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016, Certified UNIX Security Administrator (GCUX), etc. Security Clearance NIPRNet Access \xe2\x80\x93 Secret IT-I Requires Final (Interim is acceptable to start) DoD Security Clearance level of Secret Other (Travel, Work Environment, DoD 8570 Requirements, Administrative Notes, etc.) Note, all positions are identified as DoD 8570 IT-1 (privileged level systems access), which requires a favorably adjudicated Tier 5 investigation (formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)).
