Job Overview:



We are seeking highly skilled and experienced operators to conduct process operations that will produce our products. The Operator role involves conducting plant operations in a manner that ensures site and community safety, meets or exceeds environmental compliance, and meets business objectives. Process operators will follow plant training, operating procedures, and supervisory and technical guidance to complete the tasks required to maintain and improve plant operations. Plant operators will apply their collective mechanical aptitude to operate the plant efficiently with minimum downtime. This will be a team-centered operation and operating personnel who can work in a collaborative manner will provide the best means for success.

The plant operates continuously (24/7) and requires staffing to accommodate the schedule.

Key Responsibilities

:



Support a culture of safety, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Conduct process operations as a collaborative team of operators, supervisors, technical staff and other plant support personnel. Be a team member your co-workers can count on.

Utilize operator skills and provided training to ensure workplace safety by practicing and following all site safety policies, guidelines and procedures.

Utilize operator skills and provided training to protect the community and the environment by meeting or exceeding environmental compliance requirements. Satisfactorily complete and apply the site programs for health, safety and environmental compliance training that will occur throughout the year.

Apply training provided to meet or exceed compliance for local, state and federal health, safety and environmental compliance.

Operate chemical and utility process equipment with proficiency to maintain a high state of reliability and efficient usage of feedstock and resources.

Apply your ability to recognize operational improvement opportunities and bring such opportunities forward for review among shift teams and management for approval to test and/or implement.

Apply observation and troubleshooting methods to determine mechanical issues and bring these issues to Operations and Maintenance supervision for planning and resolution.

Prepare and train for site emergency response situations to preserve and protect personnel and plant assets.

Utilize basic computer skills to document activities performed, control process operation, provide daily logs of process difficulties and descriptions of problems incurred and/or resolved during the work shift.

Support plant operations by performing or assisting in the principle of autonomous maintenance to assist in or self-perform minor maintenance in accordance with plant procedures and training.

Perform chemical testing as required and as trained in accordance with plant procedures and training.

Qualifications and skills:



Minimum: High School Diploma. Vocational school or chemical process operator school training is a Plus. Associate degree is a Plus.

Experience in chemical process operation, power plant operation, or hazardous material experience required.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are needed for Operator positions. Attention to detail and strict focus on the procedures and methods is required.

Sound understanding of and the ability to properly apply various health, safety and environmental regulations is required.

Ability to operate plant mobile equipment safely and effectively as trained and certified, as directed by plant supervision and plant procedures. This may include but not be limited to use of fork trucks, manlifts and other mobile plant equipment.

Plant operations personnel must be capable of performing work that includes handling product bags that typically weigh 25 Kilograms or 55 pounds.

Personnel selected should expect to work more than one operator position in the plant's organization as training and experience progresses.

Operator positions require the ability to work rotating shift schedules.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47.61 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 48 per week
