Position Overview:

The Operations Manager will oversee the Redi-Mix, Aggregates, and Asphalt Plant in Cody, Wyoming. The Operations Manager is a full-time position that requires overtime through peak season, this position reports to the Territory Manager.

Beautiful Cody, WY is located approximately 50 miles from Yellowstone National Park s east entrance. Cody is a thriving community that is known for the beauty and culture of the mountainous area. The Shoshone River flows through Cody city limits in a moderately deep Canyon and is considered one of the ten best freestone waters in the country for fly fishing. Wild rainbow, brown, cutbow, and native Yellowstone cutthroat trout can all be found making a living in the fast, cold waters.

Essential Duties and Functions:

• Manage the daily operations of Redi-Mix, Aggregates, and Asphalt Plant
• Hire, train, motivate, and lead the teams
• Assist in scheduling, and coordinating crews, material deliveries, drivers, etc. for larger projects
• Verify quality control systems are in place and enforced
• Be the leader in fostering the company philosophy of safety programs and compliance with DOT, OSHA, and MSHA regulations
• Coordinate machine maintenance and repairs
• Ensure all plants have a documented preventive maintenance program in place
• Communicate safety and business initiatives with weekly safety meetings
• Ensure all plants are properly ordering, maintaining, and reporting inventory
• Ensure all plants adhere to local environmental rules (washouts, waste, water runoff, etc.)
• Communicate professionally with customers and attract future business
• Possess basic knowledge of asphalt and concrete finishing problems and their causes
• Maintain business profitability (labor and production management)
• Follow up with future candidates for staffing/recruiting purposes
• Work with customer service issues, sales, contractors, vendors,

Position Requirements:

• Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, mvr and drug test
• At least 5 years of construction management experience in concrete, asphalt, and aggregate
• ACI level 1 certification
• MSHA Part 46 and 48 miner certifications
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, and methods), negotiations, engineering, cost control schedules, and safety required
• Extensive experience with all equipment utilized by redi-mix, aggregates, and paving
• Class B CDL
