Job Overview:

Supervises the day-to-day operations of the Front Street Clinic-Lemon Creek (Integrated & OTP) \xe2\x80\x93monitors and maintains oversight of clinic staff and regulatory compliance; collaborates with other SEARHC departments to assure effective and efficient patient flow and to accomplish SEARHC strategic initiatives.

Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday with possible rotating Saturdays.

Responsibilities:

  • Directs staff in the planning, development, and implementation of day-to-day clinic operations.
  • Implements and monitors all SEARHC policies and procedures, Federal and State Regulations to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Participates in recruitment and training of OTP staff.
  • Maintains staff schedules so that clinic positions are consistently covered 5 days a week plus Saturday morning medication hours.
  • Is consistently and easily available to staff to answer questions and facilitate solutions with support of Clinic Manager
  • Works closely with Clinic Manager to address patient and other customer concerns; incorporates customer feedback into the development of clinic protocols, procedures, and planning.
  • Implements and monitors objectives consistent with the SEARHC Strategic Health Plan, and key performance and quality indicators.
  • Utilizes continuous quality improvement tools to address operational issues and adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Promotes and consistently shares information with clinic team members and manager.
  • Works closely with Behavioral Health Leadership and Clinic Manager to optimize personnel and financial resources and ensures efficient delivery of health care services within allotted budget.
  • Identifies areas of needed staff development and facilitates training and coordinates participation in appropriate Consortium wide training opportunities.
  • Maintains fundamental knowledge of clinic electronic health record/\xe2\x80\x99s and practice management system.
  • Works in conjunction with the Behavioral Health Operations to maintain current knowledge of Alaska Department of Behavioral Health updates on data management.
  • Maintains data entry in AKAIMS and clinic EHR.
  • Provides training and backup for registration and scheduling as needed.
  • May maintain a reduced patient caseload
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Associates degree in health related or business field
  • Relevant work experience of 2 years in a health field may be substituted for degree
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years health care related experience with progressive supervisory and management experience preferred.
Certifications
  • Healthcare leadership training/certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge:
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Basic knowledge of clinic practice management including staffing and clinic organization, scheduling, and patient flow.
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle, facilities management, and other infrastructure areas impacting the clinic.
  • Basic understanding of TJC, CMS, HIPAA, and/or other governing body regulations.
  • Knowledge of liability and risk management principles.
