Examples of Work

Assist constituents with compliance of the applicable state and federal statutes and regulations, Process inspection documentation, assist with outreach, education, and awareness activities, assist with collection, processing and depositing fees for new licenses or renewals. Assist with office phone duties and program supply ordering, organize and manage data, initiate communications, distribute licenses, permits, registrations or certifications for various programs. Scan and index documents for affiliated programs. Participate in, and evaluate, process improvement efficiency (PIC) projects agency wide. Assist with incoming and outgoing mail. General office program support. Other duties as assigned within the scope of the classification.

Qualifications / Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency. OR Experience in customer service or public contact; or applying criteria/regulations; and/or performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment.

PREFERRED: Familiarity with agricultural language preferred but not required; Familiarity with regulatory agricultural programs preferred, but not required. Familiarity with OnBase preferred but not required; Public service experience preferred but not required.

OTHER: Regular and reliable attendance. This position requires travel. As such, the incumbent must be able to present a valid driver\'s license or another form of reliable transportation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; research; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency. OR Experience in performing administrative/office/clerical support work including use of personal computers and office equipment.
