Job Description

Office Manager/ Payroll specialist Small family owned construction company seeking an experienced Office Manager/ Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for running weekly payrolls as well as maintaining our small office. The candidate will perform duties that require an understanding of Davis Bacon, including variable pay rates and benefits according to the project timeline. This position will also be responsible for all duties related to setting up and completing payroll as well as managing the front office, answering phones, ordering supplies, ect. Payroll Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll on a weekly basis through Sage Contractor100 for hourly and salaried employees, by collecting and entering data, ensuring proper coding and job costing.
  • Review payroll for accuracy and enter corrections, as needed.
  • Create and submit certified payroll reports according to project requirements, when required.
  • Maintain payroll records, including new hire setup, pay rates, benefits setup, terminations, garnishments, and other functions, as needed.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer any employee payroll queries.
  • Maintain all payroll operations according to company policies.
Other Duties:
  • Office supply ordering as needed
  • Credit Card Reconciliations
  • Enter invoices and credit card receipts with accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required:
  • 3 - 4 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in payroll processing and ability to work effectively using an integrated accounting system
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in math and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
Preferred:
  • 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in payroll processing and ability to work effectively using an integrated accounting system.
  • Preference given to candidates with experience utilizing Sage Accounting Software.
