The Office of San Diego County Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer seeks an Office Coordinator to advance the Supervisor\xe2\x80\x99s policy priorities to help transform the County\xe2\x80\x99s $7 billion budget and better serve the region\xe2\x80\x99s 3.3 million people.

This position is for a full time, Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday 9am-5pm in person position.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Office Coordinator will join a 12-person team focused on helping constituents of district three navigate the bureaucracy and connect them with County services, answer questions and provide feedback/concerns to Vice-Chair Lawson-Remer and the County Board of Supervisors.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Answering phone inquiries and assist constituents with questions.
  • Enter and maintain constituent services database.
  • Track and assist in scheduling appointments and managing invitations for Vice-Chair Lawson-Remer.
  • Greet visitors and alert appropriate staff of their arrival.
  • Coordinate the ordering, storage and distribution of office supplies
  • Review and distribute incoming mail.
  • Managing outgoing mail, including printing and mailing letters, forms and other materials.
  • Assist in planning events, luncheons, and employee team building activities
  • Run/compiles reports

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years administrative experience
  • Prior experience working for County or City government preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, and Excel)
  • Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize task

SALARY AND BENEFITS
  • $65,000 salary.
