We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, with experience in various medical settings, and be committed to providing high-quality patient care. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients across a range of specialties, including but not limited to urgent care, geriatrics, and internal medicine. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in medical documentation and patient assessment while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assessments of patients.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions.
Perform procedures such as suturing, catheterization, and spinal taps as needed.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop patient care plans.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in EMR/EHR systems.
Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options.
Manage patient care in various settings including outpatient clinics, urgent care facilities, and inpatient units.
Participate in clinical research initiatives as required.
Ensure compliance with NCQA standards and infection control protocols.
Requirements
Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine preferred.
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks.
Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding standards is advantageous.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
Experience with specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin treatment, dermal fillers, or esthetic laser treatment is a plus.
Background in pediatrics or geriatrics is desirable; experience with children is a benefit.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and families.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
