Reporting to the Surgical Services Nursing Director, the Operating Room Nurse Manager will oversee an amazing team of Surgery RNs and specialists. Supported by three seasoned Surgery Charge Nurses, and a team of motivated Scrub and Circulating RNs, the Manager will find a unit that runs like clockwork.

The incoming OR Nurse Manager will lead clinical and administrative operations in a department that\xe2\x80\x99s efficient and effective. Known for outstanding patient satisfaction ratings, a team of surgeons who make the patients and staff feel at ease, and an outstanding team of RNs, the Perioperative Services Department has a great reputation. With 7 Operating Rooms and 2 Procedure rooms, this department runs a tight schedule and turnover time is constant metric for performance.

The OR Nurse Manager over this busy, dynamic Perioperative Services department will have a crucial role to play in the successful operations of this respected medical center. Strong experience in executing budgetary and staffing policy, as well as the application of quality improvement techniques such as LEAN methodologies, will certainly help in keeping the units running smoothly. Further experience with Joint Commission, CMS, and DPH surveys and accreditation processes will surely be helpful.

From a clinical standpoint, the Operating Room Nurse Manager will play a leading role in establishing and supporting educational initiatives for the Surgery Staff. Working with a unit-based Surgical Services Educator, you\xe2\x80\x99ll have the opportunity to develop programs that spark interest in the staff and help ensure adherence to best-practices.
