Regional CMS Project Engineering is responsible for providing the process, equipment, and engineering technology and expertise required to achieve the strategic business imperatives for the region.
This role assists in the delivery of the Global Supply Chain strategy and Capital Expenditure programs for the Region, interfacing with other functions and departments both internally and externally, to ensure the implementation of that strategy and CEB program. A specific area of focus for this individual can be related to development of technical and process innovation (process design and development, automated machinery, or process control). This position will build relationships and common programs with R&D, Global Business Development, Division and Subsidiary business and Supply Chain Management, facility Engineering teams, Global Packaging, Quality, and EHS Departments, as well as outside consultants and suppliers.
What you will do


  • Partner closely with Plants and E2E partners (Network Operations, Procurement, Technology, Quality, Packaging, EHS) teams to ensure the effective development and implementation of Capital and Technology strategy and programs for the region to deliver Plant and overall business goals

  • Partner with Plants on coordination and management of the Regional CEB program. This includes engaging in annual and mid-year CEB reviews with Plants and adherence to planned cash spending.

  • Partner with the local team in the development and implementation of the technology roadmap for the region. Maintain an external focus regarding innovation and leading edge technologies.

  • Participate in the implementation of strategic business initiatives, such as e-commerce, through the identification and implementation of technical and process innovation

  • Build competitive advantage by identifying, evaluating, and championing technical advancements and innovations. Stay abreast of supplier and competitor new developments, as well as nurture relationships and participate in the negotiation of business agreements with external parties to acquire technology as needed.

  • Conduct Equipment and process benchmarking to identify and cooperate with implementation of engineering and equipment best practices within the region

  • Develop and share standards, design specifications and best practices

  • Develop OEM relationships for effective Plant support, project implementation and technology strategy implementation. Coordinate technical SME support where required.

  • Cooperate with contract manufacturing and co-packing supplier technical evaluation and assessment

  • Onset project evaluation with other CMS functions (Net Op\xe2\x80\x99s etc) in collaboration with Plants (including specification, initial budget estimation) to support effective utilization of Plant resources and project implementation

  • Provide the organizational linkage between the Category PD&I engineers and the Operational team in the facilities. This is an essential element of the Technology Transfer process. This includes the management of timelines, resources and overall project deliverables to ensure an effective Technical Transfer process for flawless project implementation.

  • Manage technical and manufacturing aspects for the commercialization of new products.

  • Provide technical guidance and direction to Regional Operational facilities. This could be in regards to: EHS and Quality, equipment and facility improvements, AU improvement plans, material losses, productivity improvements, Continuous Improvement activities, and technical innovations.

  • Ensure effective utilization of Center SME\xe2\x80\x99s to promote innovation, the effective design, installation, validation, and implementation of new process technologies in our factories

  • Ensure that design standards are properly applied to capital projects. This would include compliance to internal CP programs (EOHS, Quality, C&S ) as well as external requirements ( building codes, Regional Regulatory requirements etc\xe2\x80\xa6 )

  • Ensure that internal CP design specifications are provided for all major capital purchases. This also includes Factory acceptance protocols. These specifications should be consistent across the region where ever possible.

  • Ensure project management tools are effectively used on all significant capital projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in an Engineering field

  • 5+ years of combined plant Operational and Plant Engineering experience

  • 2+ years of Capital or Project Management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master\'s Degree in an Engineering field

  • Experience with packaging equipment, automation controls, robotics, vision systems, implementation of new technologies

  • Experience in the Supply Chain, R&D, other GSC, or GBD

  • Experience in identifying and / or implementing innovation / new technology

  • Project management skills or formal qualifications

Salary Range $88,800- $131,250 USD
Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
