Position Overview: Under minimal supervision, you are required to perform complex client-service and administrative duties for MedTrans Express (MTE) Transportation department in communication/collaboration with MTE Dispatch and MTE Customer Service. The Transportation Specialist provides safe and reliable transportation to clients across the valley. Our Transportation Specialists are required to communicate with MTE\xe2\x80\x99s Dispatch department to ensure timeliness of transportation assignments is met and/or exceeded. For agency insurability purposes, all Transportation Specialists for MTE must abide by all state-law driving requirements/regulations and pass a pre-employment background drug assessment. Within the first year of employment, a random drug screen assessment will be given to all Transportation Specialists, pursuant to the new Arizona Revised Statute Title 41, Chapter 15. Essential duties and responsibilities (included but not limited to): \xc2\xb7 Coordinate daily transportation services with agency dispatch department \xc2\xb7 Provides safe, courteous and timely transportation of clients between home and varied behavioral health clinics throughout the valley; \xc2\xb7 Submit vehicle maintenance reports, service report at the end of the shift, including but not limited to critical incident reports; \xc2\xb7 Responsible for submitting accurate records of vehicle use, coordinates routine maintenance, licensing and other duties associated with assigned agency vehicle(s); \xc2\xb7 Complies with all licensing and vehicle policies and regulations and adheres to agency procedures driver\xe2\x80\x99s policy; and \xc2\xb7 Ensures the safety and well being of passengers during transports and immediately notifies supervisor of any problems and issues. Job Requirements \xc2\xb7 CNA certification highly desirable; \xc2\xb7 Experience working in healthcare or behavioral health preferred; \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of AZ Department of Transportation regulations for safe vehicle operation; \xc2\xb7 Ability to operate a vehicle in a safe and timely manner; \xc2\xb7 Ability to safely perform duties despite unexpected and unplanned distractions that may arise; \xc2\xb7 Must be able to work in a diverse, multi-cultural environment and be sensitive to the service population\xe2\x80\x99s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics; \xc2\xb7 Effective written, oral and interpersonal communication skills; \xc2\xb7 Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card from Arizona Department of Public Safety; \xc2\xb7 At minimum, a HS/GED diploma; \xc2\xb7 Must have an open schedule; \xc2\xb7 Minimum 1 year experience working in a transportation position preferred; \xc2\xb7 Possess a valid Arizona Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License; \xc2\xb7 Current First Aid Certification; \xc2\xb7 Current CPR Certification; and \xc2\xb7 Able to operate company vehicle, including 15 passenger vans (must be 23 years of age to drive agency vehicle).
