The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing and auditing daily guest transactions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing excellent guest service during the overnight shift. This role combines front desk duties with bookkeeping responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle late check-ins, early check-outs, and guest inquiries efficiently and courteously.
Reconcile daily room charges, payments, and other transactions.
Prepare and verify audit reports for management review.
Balance cash drawers and process credit card batches.
Monitor property security and maintain a safe environment overnight.
Set up breakfast area and ensure morning readiness.
Respond to guest complaints or emergencies calmly and professionally.
Clean and maintain the lobby, front desk area, breakfast area, and public restrooms during the night shift.
Ensure all common areas are tidy, stocked, and welcoming for guests in the morning.
Take out trash, wipe surfaces, vacuum, and restock supplies as needed.
Report any maintenance or safety issues to management.
Set up and stock all breakfast items according to brand standards.
Ensure food and beverages are fresh, properly labeled, and replenished as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area, tables, counters, and serving stations.
Clean and sanitize equipment and dishes following health and safety guidelines.
Greet guests warmly and assist with any breakfast-related needs.
Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs to management.
Skills & Qualifications:
Prior front desk or hotel experience preferred (training provided).
Basic accounting or math skills for daily audit balancing.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient with hotel property management PMS systems.
Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
Schedule:
Overnight shifts (typically 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.), weekends and holidays as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.50 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
