Acclaimed Children's Museum seeks partners in play.
Educator (Part-Time):
Lead school/camp groups and interact with visitors through the Museum's play-based exhibits that introduce complex ideas in a fun and engaging way. Interact with children, parents and teachers on a daily basis in a vibrant and inspiring environment.Both weekdays and weekends required. Work schedule will be based upon availability and Museum Operations requirements. Position is year round.
The ideal candidate will have excellent "people", communications and presentation skills and be organized and punctual. This person must be able to work independently while still being a team player. High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree, plus previous teaching experience a plus.
Long Island Children's Museum, located in Garden City, New York, is a not-for-profit learning laboratory that inspires children and adults through interdisciplinary, hands-on, fun experiences.
