We are seeking a dedicated and passionate MS Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various scientific disciplines and a commitment to fostering a love for science among middle school students. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, implementing effective teaching strategies, and supporting students in their academic journey.
Duties
Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards in subjects such as biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics.
Facilitate classroom activities that promote student engagement and understanding of scientific concepts, including laboratory experiments and dissections.
Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student learning experiences.
Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment.
Assess student performance through standardized testing and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional design to improve educational outcomes.
Provide academic advising and mentoring to students, helping them navigate their educational paths.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents regarding academic performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; higher education teaching experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of scientific principles including cell biology, microbiology, genetics, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and molecular biology.
Proficiency in mathematics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, and differential equations.
Experience working with students in an educational setting; prior classroom experience is preferred.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
Familiarity with special education practices and behavior management techniques is desirable.
Experience in tutoring or mentoring students is an asset.
