Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment. Must obtain a FL Class A CDL Permit within 90 days of hire and obtain a FL Class A CDL with Air Brakes and Tanker Endorsements within 180 days of appointment. Hearing Loss Test required for selected candidate.

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of tandem axle dump trucks to haul materials. Transports heavy equipment using double/triple axel trailers. Operates front-end loaders, skid steer loaders, tractors with various attachments, and small gas-powered equipment; performs various manual maintenance and landscape tasks as required. May lead a small crew.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in operating heavy-duty earth-moving equipment.

Necessary Special Requirement

: May be required to obtain Safe Boater, and/or Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification(s) within the first year of employment.

PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE WITH: Leading a small crew/directing the work of others; operating tractors with grappler, box blade, and mower attachments; front-end loaders, skid loader, chippers, stump grinders, water tankers, or tandem axle dump trucks; performing landscape/nursery operations using gas-powered and manual equipment. Also desirable: Florida Green Industries Best Management Practices (GIBMP) Certification; possession of a valid FL Class A with Air Brakes and Tanker Endorsement.
