Job Title: Mortgage Warehouse Operations Manager

Location: Biltmore

What you\'ll do: As a Mortgage Warehouse Operations Manager, you\'ll be responsible for managing the review and purchase of closed mortgage loans from a variety of counter parties. Required to communicate effectively with individual managers, other supervisory personnel and non-management employees providing policy initiatives to individual facility managers to ensure that each facility complies with these initiatives. You\'ll lead a team of Supervisors and Mortgage Warehouse Funding, Collateral and Payment Specialists and oversee underwriting review loan funding, collateral review and quality control functions to ensure the bank is purchasing high quality mortgage loans that confirm to the bank\xe2\x80\x99s policies and procedures. One of your key responsibilities is to work closely with the Mortgage Warehouse Operations Director and serve as a key liaison for customers that are delivering mortgage loans to the bank on a flow basis. Improve regional processes, policies, and practices so as to achieve company\xe2\x80\x99s goals and ensure regional areas adhere to company-wide rules and guidelines.

What we are looking for:

  • Responsible for helping improve the efficiency of supported areas like communication channels and IT; and also ensure free flowing communication amongst the other sub-departments within Warehouse Lending. Assesses risk and makes recommendations on mortgage loans the bank should purchase or proposes a structure to address weaknesses and compensating factors.
  • Give feedback on how the entire region functions to senior managers on a regular basis so as to ensure that company general activities flow on the same wave length. Manage loan pipeline to ensure deadlines are met. Serve as key customer liaison on flow arrangements, to ensure customer expectations are met, service standards are adhered to and issues are elevated and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Oversee third party vendors that review and underwrite mortgage loans for the bank to ensure their work quality meets the bank\xe2\x80\x99s standards. Create and oversee a quality control plan to ensure loans purchased meet all of the bank\xe2\x80\x99s policies and procedures and are of investment quality.
  • Leads and develops a team; responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development
What you need to have:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in related field required
  • 8+ years of direct, related experience
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Strong speaking and writing skills for internal and external audiences (ex: sales or leadership)
  • Previous leadership experience required
