Overview:
This application is for a hiring event on Wednesday, April 19th between the hours of 2pm and 4pm located at Crown Center in KC, MO. The Milk and Formula Room Technician is responsible for the routine storage, preparation, and delivery of mother\'s breast milk and formula, additives, prescribed foods and thickeners following the guidelines set forth from \'Infant Feedings: Guidelines for preparation of Human Milk and Formula in Health Care Facilities\' by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and from \'Beast Practice for Expressing, Storing and Handling Human Milk in Hospital, Homes and Child Care Settings\' by the Human Milk Banking Association of North America. The Technician supports the daily operations of the Milk and Formula Room to ensure the safety for all patients receiving products prepared in the Milk and Formula Room.

If you become a finalist for this position, and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources. Responsibilities:
  • Accurately receive, identify, store, verify, prepare and deliver all human milk feedings as ordered by the providers caring for hospitalized infants.
  • Process, store, prepare and deliver all formula feedings and other products as ordered by the providers caring for hospitalized patients.
  • Maintain a sanitary, well-supplied environment in the milk and formula preparation area, following the procedures of the hospital and the Milk and Formula Room.
  • Supply mothers with needed breast pumping supplies.
  • Communicate with co-workers, parents, and other staff on proper preparation, storage, transport of formula and other prepared products.
Qualifications:
  • HS diploma or equivalent Trained in infection Control Practices. Must have mathematical competency. and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training or
  • Associate\'s Degree preferred
Starting Pay:
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $18.07/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
