Leidos is currently seeking a mid level Full Stack Developer to promote United States Space Force by developing software in promote of Space Systems Command Cyber Operations Branch rapid agile development of defensive cyber solutions to protect, protect, and react to both ground and space based cyber adversarial threats. A successful candidate should be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver exceptional results as part of a high performing team in a fast-paced environment.

Help direct, design, develop and deliver modern secure software applications.

Promote grooming of user stories, breakdown of development tasks and estimation of effort.

Design overall application architecture involving microservices, micro-frontends, APIs, integration patterns, database models and similar.

Build reusability in day to day development and maintain library of reusable components and services.

Work with User Experience engineers and business analysts to design impactful and intuitive interfaces.

Partner with Software Factory team to achieve disciplined adoption of modern software development practices like Test- Driven Development , Behavioral Driven Development , Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Continuous Deployment and similar.

Troubleshoot defect issues, deduce root cause, and implement mechanisms to prevent reoccurrence and mitigate offshoot issues.

Efficiently divide and conquer software development tasks with application developers.

Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions.

Aid and promote the coaching and training of other team members to achieve better quality.

Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.

Writing clean, functional code on the front- and back-end.

Unit testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues.

Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design

Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.

Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.

Create security and data protection settings.

Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design.

Write technical documentation.

The Opportunity:

Your development activities at the Cyber Operations Branch program office adhere to Scaled Agile Framework that offers proven, integrated standards, practices, and competencies to implement steer, agile, and DevOps at scale. Additionally, this program office personifies DevSecOps which automates the integration of security at every phase of the software development lifecycle from initial design, through integration, testing, deployment, and software delivery. These development efforts shall result in two deployable defensive cyber solutions to protect, protect, and react to United States Space

Force mission systems.

Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff.

Works on high-visibility or critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties freely.

Oversee efforts of less senior staff and accountable for efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

Ensure consistent submission of high-quality products to the Government.

What Sets You Apart:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development or Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics related specialty.

Scaled Agile Framework for Teams certification is a prerequisite.

At least four years of relevant background performing activities in the Government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit or non-profit Government support, or development contractor arena.

Background in the following programming languages (at least 2): C, C++, Java, JavaScript, & Python.

Background in the following applications frameworks (at least 2): React, Angular, Python, JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets, & HyperText Markup Language, TML, Material User Interface, Familiarity & knowledge: System Integrity Management Program Project, Ansible, Docker, Global Information Tracker, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, PostgreSQL.

Background or knowledge in the following areas: Agile software development, agile methodologies, software development life cycle management, cross-functional team.

You Might Also Have:

Current Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance.

Relevant DoD and/or Industry work background in Space Systems Command Background with Cyber Operations Branch (SSC/SZYO) program office , Advisory and Assistance Service or System Engineering and Technical Assistance to Government program office.

Background with Automated Customer Account Transfer Level 1, 2 acquisition programs.

Clearance Needed:

U.S. citizenship with current Top Secret security clearance; with ability to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance.

Pay Range: Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
