Care Management Associate (Letter Writer) helps to support the prior authorization department and Notice of
Action Department by writing member letters and provider faxes. The NOA letter writer also makes calls to providers and members to get needed information to complete the notifications. The NOA team averages 3000-4000 member letters and/or provider faxes per month. The Letter Writer is responsible for writing letters accurately and effectively and managing timeframes to avoid regulator sanctions. Letter Writers must write medical, pharmacy, dental, and behavior health letters and have them mailed out within the 24-hour, 72-hour, and 14-day regulator timeframes
We are looking for individuals that have strong analytical skills focusing on accuracy and attention to detail. Someone who is self-disciplined, motivated and can build collaborative working relationships. Candidate should be able to type and be computer literate in order to navigate through internal/external computer systems including Excel and Microsoft Word. This person would need to be able to work in multiple windows on multiple screens. We are seeking an individual who can think outside the box and has the desire to learn and grow. Excellent verbal and written skills preferred with the ability to meet demands of a high paced environment to meet tight deadlines.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 18.50
Maximum: 34.60
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
