Description
The CME Group Membership Representative position is a customer facing role within the Client Development & Sales Division of CME. The primary focus of this role is customer service to current and prospective individual and corporate exchange members. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational & communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment on a highly collaborative team.


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Review & process membership applications for individual membership. Ensure the CME Group Rules & procedures are completed for each applicant.
  • Manage the membership seat market which is an auction market for the purchase and sale of memberships across all CME Group exchanges. This entails reviewing bids & offers, ensuring completeness of documents, verification of authorized signatures, verification of seat ownership, completing seat sales, processing the payment of seat sales etc.
  • Process seat transfers between lessee & lessors, as well as between member firms and their employees.
  • Enter lease information details into the CME Group data system.
  • Provide customer service to existing customers, prospective members and the general public by responding to questions related to membership.
  • Explain membership privileges of CME Group exchanges and cost saving benefits of membership.
  • Onboard new corporate member firms and assist with system set up.
  • Extensive interface with many CME Group teams including Finance/Accounting, Exchange Fee, Financial & Regulatory Surveillance, Market Regulation, Legal, Clearing and Trading Floor Operations.
  • Contribute to business process improvements and implementation of new initiatives.
  • Support/back up fellow team members in daily assignments.



Required
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working in a Customer Service role
  • Microsoft Office-Word & Excel and Google Docs
  • Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team and ability to foster working relationships



Desired Qualifications:


  • Experience working for a brokerage firm, clearing firm or proprietary trading firm
  • Experience in the futures and or securities industry
  • Knowledge of CME Group exchange products
