Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Equipment Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment, ensuring that all devices function safely and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with various types of medical equipment, demonstrating proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Duties

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on medical equipment to ensure optimal performance. Utilize OEM specifications and schematics for troubleshooting and repairs. Conduct calibration of equipment to meet industry standards. Maintain accurate records of service activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Operate hand tools and diagnostic equipment to perform repairs. Provide field service support, including on-site troubleshooting and customer training. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure equipment meets clinical needs. Stay updated on new technologies and advancements in medical equipment.

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance. Familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is preferred. Experience using CMMS for tracking maintenance activities. Strong understanding of calibration processes and the ability to read schematics. Proficient in the use of hand tools and diagnostic instruments. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with healthcare staff.
