Medical Billing Specialist \xe2\x80\x93 Ophthalmology Practice Our reputable private practice is seeking a billing specialist to join our talented team of medical professionals! The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills and 2+ years of medical billing experience in ophthalmology. Job Type:

• Full Time
• Day Shift
• Monday through Friday
• On-Site

Pay Scale:

• $20 to $24/hour based upon experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file all insurance claims
• Obtain prior authorizations and pre-determinations
• Follow up on accounts receivable claims, appeals, and denials
• Post all incoming patient and insurance payments
• Collections for past due accounts
• Answer patient billing inquiries

Requirements:

• High school diploma or greater
• Knowledge of ophthalmology terminology
• 2+ years of medical billing in an ophthalmology practice
• Full understanding of the billing cycle and all aspects of registration and billing
• Great attention to detail, strong work ethic, and reliably meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Enjoys working as a team, and can work independently when needed
• Experience with Nextech\xe2\x80\x99s Practice+ PM is preferred

• Medical Billing: 2 years (Preferred)
